Planting Instructions Rosaria
How to Grow Your Award-Winning Eden Climbing Roses
Our Eden Rose™ is designed to thrive with minimal effort — even if you’ve never planted anything before. Follow these simple steps to ensure the best results and enjoy a lush, fragrant bloom in just a few months.
☀️ Best Time to Plant: Late Spring Through Summer
For optimal growth and germination, plant your rose seeds during late spring to early summer, when the soil is warm and the days are long.
Ideal temperature: 15°C to 42°C (59°F to 108°F)
Planting during this period dramatically increases your germination success rate and speeds up initial growth.
📦 What You’ll Need:
-
Loose, well-drained soil (preferably rich in organic matter)
-
A pot, raised bed, or direct garden area with good sun exposure
-
A spray bottle or watering can
-
Optional: warm water for seed soaking and a plastic dome or film to retain moisture during germination
🌸 Step-by-Step Guide
1. Soil Preparation
Loosen the soil thoroughly. Make sure it’s well-aerated, rich in organic material, and allows drainage. Avoid compacted or soggy soil.
2. Optional: Pre-Soak Seeds
Soak seeds in warm (not hot) water for 6–12 hours before planting to help soften the outer shell and stimulate germination.
3. Sowing
Spread the seeds evenly on the surface of the soil. Press lightly with your palm or a board to ensure seed-to-soil contact.
4. Covering
Sprinkle a very thin layer of soil over the seeds — just enough to cover them. Do not bury deeply.
5. Watering
Mist the area lightly with a spray bottle or gently water to moisten the surface. Avoid overwatering or letting the soil become waterlogged.
6. Light and Heat
Place the container or garden bed in a sunny, warm area. Full sun (6+ hours/day) is ideal. Warm soil = faster germination.
7. Moisture Retention
To maintain humidity, cover the soil lightly with plastic film or a humidity dome for the first 5–10 days. Remove once seedlings appear.
8. Germination Timeline
Expect germination within 10 to 30 days, depending on temperature and humidity. Once the seedlings appear, reduce watering slightly and gradually expose them to full sun if they were covered.
🌿 Ongoing Care
-
Water only when the soil surface begins to dry.
-
Transplant into larger containers or garden beds once seedlings are 5–10 cm tall.
-
Provide a support structure (trellis, wall, arch) for climbing.
